CALL FOR PAPERS

The 6^th International and 10^th National Conference will be held in České Budějovice from 12 to 14 September, 2008. It will be hosted by the Department of English of the Pedagogical Faculty of the University of South Bohemia. It will offer a varied programme of talks, workshops, demonstrations, research-oriented presentations and poster sessions intended for teachers in primary, secondary and tertiary education. The main aim of the conference is to provide a forum for sharing experience and ideas, demonstrating one's achievements and promoting networks of teachers. The ELT resources exhibition will be open to all for the length of the conference.

The official opening ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2008 and closing ceremony at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 14, 2008. The Conference has been accredited by the Ministry of Education, which allows for the reimbursement of any expenses connected with this event. The Conference fee is 900 CZK for ATECR, MSATE, AMATE members, 1200 CZK for Czech and Slovak non-members, 70 EUR for participants from other countries; it covers access to all conference events, a copy of Conference brochure, a Conference badge, tea/coffee during breaks between sessions, a welcome drink on Friday and a reception on Saturday.

 

Registration Deadlines

Presenters: April 30, 2008

Note: You will be informed by 31 May whether your proposal has been accepted.

Participants: May 31, 2008

Deadline for payment of conference fee (presenters and participants): June 10, 2008

Deadline for cancellation and reimbursement of conference fee: June 30, 2008

Note: In the event of cancellation, you will be subject to an administration charge of 200 CZK in addition to a postal charge. We regret that no reimbursement can be made for cancellations after June 30, 2008.
