S.P.A.C.E. International Program – VIVES University of Applied Sciences – Kortrijk – Belgium
For the 11th year in a row VIVES University of Applied Sciences is organizing the English conducted international program S.P.A.C.E. (Social Pedagogical Art & Creativity Exploration). We would be very pleased to welcome your students for the spring term 2020 at our Department of Applied Social Sciences in Kortrijk, Belgium.
The S.P.A.C.E.-program covers one semester of 30 ECTS (from the beginning of February till the end of June 2020). S.P.A.C.E. explores how art and creativity are applied in social/pedagogical settings and how the arts sector focusses on (special) target groups: artistic ateliers with people with a disability, creative projects in prisons or refugee camps, social-artistic work in neighbourhoods, creative youth work, outsider art,… An interesting program for students in Social Work, Social Pedagogy, Psychology, Social Services, (Special) Education, Art Studies, Culture & Media Education,… Theoretical lessons, practical creative workshops, guest lectures, study visits and project work are a part of the program.
Application
Deadline for application is 1st of November 2019, but the sooner we receive the application, the sooner we can accept your students. We’d like to receive a motivation letter and CV from students who’d like to apply. One last thing
If necessary in the Credit Exchange of the student, we can also design a Study Program of 20 ECTS. In this case, the Group Project (12 ects) will be replaced by an Individual Paper (2 ects). Students then can stay till end of April – middle of May. If there is no Partner Agreement yet, our International Office can arrange this. Contact us for more information.
