Programme Information

Ph.D. studies

• Information and communication technologies in education (3 years, internal study, Ph.D. degree)

• Pedagogical psychology (3 years, internal study, Ph.D. degree)

Master studies

• for junior school teachers (4 years, full-time study, Mgr. degree)

  for junior school teachers + English specialism (5 years, full-time study, Mgr. degree)

  for junior school teachers + German specialism (5 years, full-time study, Mgr. degree)

  The accredited training programmes for basic school teachers include the following subject specialisms:

  Music school teachers (5 years, full-time study, Mgr. degree)

  Art school teachers (5 years, full-time study, Mgr. degree)

  Teachers of the English language at senior schools
  Teachers of the Czech language and literature at senior schools
  Teachers of history at senior schools
  Teachers of the French language at senior schools
  Teachers of physics at senior schools

  Teachers of chemistry at senior schools
  Teachers of mathematics at senior schools
  Teachers of the German at senior schools
  Teachers of civics at senior schools
  Teachers of natural history and plan cultivation at senior schools

  All applicants (except those interested in the programmes for art school teachers and music school teachers, and the programmes for junior school teachers, including the English and German language specialisms) must meet the standard entrance requirements in two subjects chosen from the list of combinations that is published annually on the related web pages. On successful completion of a full-time five-year programme the graduates are awarded a Mgr. degree.

• The accredited training programmes for secondary school teachers include the following subject specialisms:

  Teachers of the Czech language and literature at secondary schools
  Teachers of history at secondary schools
  Teachers of physics at secondary schools
  Teachers of Latin at secondary schools
  Teachers of mathematics at secondary schools
  Teachers of the German language at secondary schools
  Teachers of sports at secondary schools
  Teachers of computer technology at secondary schools

  All applicants must meet the standard entrance requirements in two subjects chosen from the list of combinations that is published annually on the related web pages. On successful completion of a full-time five-year programme the graduates are awarded a Mgr. degree.

• The follow-up programme in physics and computer technology for teachers at senior schools (designed to complement the bachelor programme; three-year full-time programme; Mgr. degree)

Lifelong Education

• Teacher-training programme for trade school masters (one-and-half-year programme)

• In-service specialized study for teachers-counsellors (two-and-half-year programme + paper)

Summer Schools

• Summer University (a joint project of Johannes Kepler Universität Linz and University of South Bohemia aimed at management and the Czech language)

• České Budějovice Summer School (a course for Czech and Austrian undergraduates focused on language, culture and history)
