Effect of climbing ability on energy expenditure of easy and moderately difficult routes

The aim of the study was to assess differences in the energy expenditure of easy and moderately difficult routes in climbers with different climbing abilities. Eleven sport climbers were divided according to their climbing ability to beginners, recreational and experienced climbers. In our thesis we focused on postural system, which ensures maintaining of upright posture. The aim was to find out if regular and pointed exercise of a modified pilates programme would have a positive influence on posture. The aim of our study is to develop standards (by means of T-points) for the assessment of individual anaerobic threshold in swimming, cycling and running in junior athletes included in the SCM aged between 17-19 years.
