History of Development of balance beam Gymnastic Apparatus in women's artistic gymnastics

The topic of this work belongs to the area of artistic gymnastics' history. Artistic gymnastics has gradually formed out of the apparatus physical education. The aim of the work lies in the description or highlighting of all the important development trends in the women's artistic gymnastics on balance beam. The emphasis is placed on the development of balance beam, as it is the main gymnastic apparatus in women's artistic gymnastics. The thesis, based on the study of historical sources, provides a summary of the characteristics of balance beam and describes the movements on this apparatus.

Analysis of the development of performance capacity in men's 5,000 meter run in the Czech Republic during 1945-2016

As a rule, performance capacity in sports constantly improves. Using statistical and expert analyses of time series, the authors examine changes in performance capacity in men's 5,000 meter run during 1945 - 2016 and factors influencing on the development of performance capacity. Comparison of internal workload response during a match and basketball-specific fatigue protocol

The goal of the study was to compare internal workload response during a match and basketball-specific fatigue protocol. The study involved a total of 29 male basketball players (age 17.4 ± 1.6 years; body height = 184.7 ± 8.2 cm and weight = 75.7 ± 15.6 kg) of U17 and U19 categories. Heart rate, blood lactate concentration, and Borg scale were used. We found out moderately strong correlation between heart rate during a match and basketball-specific fatigue protocol. Similar results were detected in blood lactate concentration.

The tightness of the relationship between objective and subjective evaluation of the load in the aerobics class in a different environment

The aim of the research was to assess the appropriateness of applying a subjective evaluation method of load intensity during aerobics and aerobics in the water of a different focus of study. International research shows that performance enhancing drugs represent a serious problem both in competitive and leisure sports, affecting adolescent athletes as well. Due to their strategic location České Budějovice had a very important position in in Czechoslovakian canoeing and in water tourism until the construction of the dam system in the middle of Vltava River. Due to that at the beginning and during the first stage of development Ceske Budejovice became an important target, transit and starting point of the canoeing enthusiasts at the time, especially the ones from Prague.
