Invitation to a Lecture and Discussion with Prof. Marit Honerød Hoveid (EERA; NTNU, Norway)
Topic: Advancing Educational Research at USB
Prof. Hoveid, President of the European Educational Research Association, will present key ideas on how educational research can serve both education and society. She will challenge the traditional view of education as merely a field for disseminating knowledge from other disciplines and advocate for educational research as a reflexive, interdisciplinary field with its own theoretical and methodological richness.
The lecture will open a discussion on how the Faculty of Education at USB can strengthen its research profile, particularly through participatory and action-oriented approaches within teacher education. Attention will be given to building supportive structures, fostering collaboration across faculties, and enhancing internationalisation.
