About the Journal
LINGUA VIVA is a peer-reviewed biannual journal of foreign language education, applied linguistics and literary studies, published by the language departments of the Faculty of Education, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. Since 2015, LINGUA VIVA has been included in the ERIH PLUS database, which reflects its growing international visibility in the fields of language education and linguistics.
The journal publishes original scholarly articles on the theory and practice of teaching foreign languages as well as Czech as a foreign language, and welcomes contributions from both Czech and international scholars. Its contents include specialized studies in linguistics, language teaching methodology, literature and cultural studies, together with book reviews and reports on conferences and other professional events.
LINGUA VIVA is published twice a year (spring and autumn) in print and electronic form under ISSN 1801-1489 (print) and ISSN 2336-8136 (online). All issues from 2005 onwards are available electronically on the journal's website.
