Editorial Policies
Aims and Scope
LINGUA VIVA aims to promote high-quality research and reflective practice in foreign language education, applied linguistics and literary studies related to language teaching. The journal particularly welcomes contributions focusing on classroom-based research and innovation, teacher education, language assessment, multilingualism, intercultural communication, literature in language education, and Czech as a foreign language. Empirical and theoretical studies, as well as informed position papers, case studies and practice-oriented reflections, are all considered for publication.
Open Access Policy
All articles in LINGUA VIVA are published in open access and are freely available online in full-text PDF immediately after publication. Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full texts without financial, legal or technical barriers, in line with widely accepted open-access principles.
Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, which permits unrestricted use, distribution and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.
Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright to their work and grant LINGUA VIVA the right of first publication. Under the CC BY 4.0 licence, authors allow others to share and adapt their work on condition that appropriate credit is given, a link to the licence is provided and any changes are indicated.
Author Fees
LINGUA VIVA does not charge any submission, processing or publication fees. Authors receive at least one complimentary printed copy of the issue in which their contribution appears.
Language Policy
The journal accepts manuscripts written in English, Czech, French, Italian, German and Spanish, with a clear relevance to foreign language education, applied linguistics or literary studies in the context of language teaching. All submissions must include titles, abstracts and keywords both in English and in the language of the article.
Archiving and Indexing
LINGUA VIVA is indexed in the ERIH PLUS database and archived on the website of the Faculty of Education, University of South Bohemia, where all past issues since 2005 are available electronically. The editorial board is committed to further developing the journal's international visibility and indexing in additional relevant databases.
