Peer Review Process

All submissions to LINGUA VIVA undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts; in justified cases a third review may be requested. The identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the review process.

Reviewers assess manuscripts with regard to their originality, theoretical grounding, methodological soundness, clarity of argumentation, relevance to the journal's scope and formal quality. They provide clear recommendations (accept, minor revision, major revision, reject) and detailed comments intended to help authors improve their work.

Authors are usually informed about the result of the review process within one to two months after submission. Revised versions may be requested; the final decision on acceptance or rejection is taken by the editor-in-chief in consultation with the managing editors, taking into account the reviewers' reports and the quality of the revisions.

The editorial staff reserves the right to make minor stylistic and formal adjustments to accepted manuscripts that do not affect their content.
