Call for 2026 Young Visiting Scholar Program at the National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech)
The Office of International Affairs at National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech) is pleased to announce the UAAT International Young Visiting Scholar Program for 2026.
As a member of the University Academic Alliance in Taiwan (UAAT), Taipei Tech invites outstanding young scholars from our strategic partner university systems to form relationships with our faculty, discover our campus in the heart of Taipei, and develop joint research projects. The purpose of this program is to launch new sustainable projects and strengthen existing partnerships between our institutions.
Taipei Tech encourages applications for:
- Academic research collaboration.
- Teaching collaboration.
- Start-up development or innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E) projects.
The Visiting Scholar Program includes funding of up to NTD 330,000 (~USD 10,000) per award. This award covers:
- One round-trip international airfare (Economy class, up to NTD 70,000 depending on the region).
- Monthly living expenses of NTD 75,000.
- Administrative costs up to NTD 20,000 for visas, insurance, and service fees.
The visit must take place during a mutually agreed-upon period of 1 to 3 months between May 1 and December 31, 2026.
Application Process: Applicants must identify and connect with a relevant Taipei Tech department and faculty member who shares an interest in the proposed project and agrees to serve as a host. The Taipei Tech host will work with the visiting scholar to develop a collaboration plan aligned with the program’s goals.
To apply, please complete the Online Application Form by Wednesday, May 20, 2026. As part of the application, the following documents are required:
- Visit proposal and CV.
- Proof of employment and identification.
- Signed letters of support from the applicant’s supervisor, the Taipei Tech host unit head, and the host professor.
Successful applicants are expected to deliver at least two public lectures during their visit and submit a visit report within one month of completing the program.
