Heritage Game Continues to Inspire New Collaborations

Although the international project Heritage Game has officially reached its conclusion, its results continue to generate new opportunities for collaboration and innovation in higher education.

This week, members of the project team met with Assoc. Prof. Lucie Betáková, Vice-Dean for International Relations, and Mgr. Renata Janktová from the Department of English Studies at the Faculty of Education, University of South Bohemia. The meeting focused on opportunities to involve additional academics in future activities connected with the KreativEU initiative and to explore potential avenues for new interdisciplinary and international cooperation.

The Heritage Game team presented the project's key outcomes, including the newly published monograph Gamification of Heritage for Community Involvement in Low-Density Territories. The publication summarizes the project experience and highlights the potential of gamification as a tool for strengthening community engagement, cultural heritage awareness, and educational innovation.

The discussion confirmed a strong interest in the project’s results and their applicability across different academic fields. Participants identified several opportunities for future cooperation and initiated conversations on the development of new joint projects and educational activities.

The meeting demonstrated that the impact of Heritage Game extends beyond the formal duration of the project. Its outputs continue to support European collaboration, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and good practice, and inspire educators to reflect on innovative approaches to teaching and community engagement.

The Heritage Game project may have formally ended, but its ideas, partnerships, and legacy continue to evolve.
